Dani Dawkins
Dani Dawkins is the Office Manager and paralegal at Burnside Law Firm. She has over a decade of experience in the legal field and has seen and handled just about every type of legal matter.
Dani was born and raised in the Cayce West-Columbia area and has a 16-year-old daughter named Charli, who is her pride and joy. She also has two adorable fur-babies, a beagle named Maggie Jean, and a miniature dachshund named Toby.
On most Friday nights you can find Dani on the football field rooting on the Bearcats as she is also the Head Varsity Sideline Cheer Coach at Brookland-Cayce High School!

Abbey Wright
Abbey Wright is a law clerk at Burnside Law Firm. She will be sitting for the South Carolina bar exam in February.
Abbey graduated from Clemson University where she studied biology, business administration, and political and legal theory. After Clemson, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. She received CALI awards for Legal Research and Writing and Advanced Legal Writing: Civil Litigation Drafting.
In her free time, she enjoys trying local restaurants and coffee shops, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her boxer-lab Kingston!

Bethany Poole
Bethany Poole is a Claims Specialist at Burnside Law Firm. She assists with Social Security Disability and Workers Comp cases
Originally from the Upstate of SC, Bethany earned her bachelors degree in social work. She is a proud wife and mom/step mom to 3 boys who enjoys helping others and connecting with her community.
Outside of the office, she loves CrossFit and considers her favorite food group “caffeine”!

Brie Gajda
Brie Gajda joined Burnside Law Firm in 2025 and serves as a Claims Specialist, working closely with clients throughout the personal injury claims process. She assists with insurance claims, property damage, medical treatment updates, and gathering the records and information needed to keep each case moving forward.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Brie earned degrees from Clemson University and Southern Wesleyan University. She spent six years teaching and five years in the insurance industry before joining the legal field.
Brie enjoys building relationships with clients and being a familiar point of contact throughout what can often be an unfamiliar and stressful process.
Outside of the office, Brie loves spending time with her family and friends, watching her twin boys play baseball, CrossFit, being involved with her church, and traveling.

Raquel Ortiz
Raquel Ortiz is our Spanish Translator at Burnside Law Firm, where she has been an integral part of our team for the past 2 years.
Specializing in Social Security, Raquel’s knowledge extends across a diverse range of topics including but not limited to Motor Vehicle Accidents, personal injury, and Worker’s Compensation. Adept in accurately assessing all context, Raquel strives to help her Hispanic clients better understand their rights and position.
Raquel was an honor graduate from White Knoll High School in 2020 & pursued Business studies for 2 years at Midlands Technical College. Also, she participated in a wide selection of clinical studies specializing in Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
Raquel lives happily with her 1-year-old son & her partner of 7 years.
